In November 2007, SOME was honored to be chosen as a finalist for the Opus Prize. In addition to providing support for SOME's programs, the Opus Prize Foundation sponsored the creation of this video about SOME's services for the homeless and poor. The video provides an overview of SOME's Continuum of Care, which begins in the Dining Room and includes medical care, job training and affordable housing.

SOME Center for Employment Training Director Emily Price's interview on News Channel 8 focuses on the Center's programs to provide the training and support necessary to prepare homeless and low-income women and men for jobs that pay a living wage and provide benefits. The Center trains students in three high-growth fields to be Business and Customer Relations Associates, Medical Administrative Assistants and Building Service Maintenance Technicians.
