Partner with us and other concerned citizens to support policies that will serve the needs of homeless and other poor people.

We'll keep you updated, alert you to key moments to weigh in and give you a way to communicate your views quickly and easily.

What We Do

Our comprehensive approach to addressing homelessness and poverty includes more than the direct services we provide to the men and women who come to us for help. We:

Advocate for policies and programs that will better serve the needs of all homeless and other poor people in DC.
Seek changes that will eliminate the root causes of homelessness and poverty.
Foster an active commitment to social justice by educating public officials, our volunteers and school, church and community groups.

We partner with many other organizations to develop and advocate for the best feasible solutions. We also empower our clients to speak out for their interests. We enlist concerned citizens to voice their support through our grassroots So Others Might Eat Advocacy Network.
