Enjoy a Guided Tour of DC to Benefit SOME

Sunday, November 6, Walk of the Town is offering an expert guided tour entitled "Monumental Stories" which will benefit SOME. Led by licensed DC tour guide Tim Stewart. The tour will feature stops at the south front of the White House, Signers Island, all three National War Memorials, the Lincoln Memorial and much more.

Reservations are not required and the tour itself is free, but donations are welcomed and 100% will be contributed to SOME. Meet Tim at 10:30 am for the Monumental Stouries Tour near the corner of 15th and Pennsylvania Ave. just off the northwest corner of the Commerce Department and the White House Visitor Center.

"DC Street" Chronicles Homelessness in Washington

After volunteering in the SOME Dining Room, Azim Al-Sala'm, founder of Consider Someone Else, decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of his new single "DC Street" to help the hungry and homeless at SOME. The song describes the hunger and poverty that Mr. Al-Sala'm, a native Washingtonian, has seen in the city.
