Memorials/HonorariesWhen you lose a loved one, you want to find a way to keep their memory alive. One unique way to remember them is through a Memorial Gift to SOME. A Memorial made in the name of a loved one is a way for you to support ongoing and new programs at SOME and continue their memory in the community. As a thoughtful expression of sympathy, Memorials may be given when neighbors or coworkers experience a loss. At a time of death, families may specify that Memorial contributions be made to SOME in lieu of flowers. Your gift to SOME offers a way to express appreciation for the people who have touched your life in a special way. It's an excellent way to honor your parents or special friends, to honor and celebrate the joy of a new life, a birthday, an anniversary, a graduation, or as an expression of appreciation for care provided at SOME. The families honored by your gift will receive a letter or card notifying them of your thoughtfulness. The amount of your donation will be kept confidential. Each gift is used for the provision of emergency and rehabilitative services that are critical in ending the cycle of homelessness for thousands of Washington, DC adults and children each year. The benefits of your gift will touch many. On their behalf, we thank your for your generosity. It's easy to make a memorial or honorary gift online. If you prefer to make a memorial or honorary gift by mail, please send your contribution along with the name and address of the next of kin or the person being honored to: Donor Relations Coordinator, 71 'O' St., NW, Washington, DC 20001. We will be happy to send a card notifying the next of kin or person being honored of your thoughtful gift. For more information, please contact SOME's Development Associate Susanne Tortola at 202.797.8806 extension 1010 or stortola@some.org. |
