A Healthy Start
Your gift provides an initial visit in SOME's Medical Clinic to 3 clients, which includes an initial consult with a nurse, lab work, standard testing, physical examination by a physician, psychiatric evaluation, social worker assessment, and any necessary medications.
As a part of our mission to provide immediate services to the city's poor and homeless, SOME offers comprehensive healthcare to the city's uninsured. SOME operates a medical clinic offering a full range of services, including a dental clinic, eye clinic, and x-ray facility, open to any person who comes to SOME's door. The SOME Medical Clinic treats an average of 30 patients a day. SOME's Behavioral Health Services provides individual and group counseling to homeless and low-income individuals. Our social workers and psychiatrists address mental illness, substance abuse, and general treatment through a comprehensive social-service program.
