Expanding Horizons

Your gift provides four field trips for senior citizens or adults with severe mental illness.

Isaiah House, SOME's daytime socialization program for men and women with chronic mental illness and SOME's Senior Centers provide homeless and low-income adults with a safe place to go during the day, as well as the opportunity to take part in activities and services that enhance their dignity, support their independence, and reduce isolation and loneliness. In addition to counseling, health promotion and meals, these programs offer recreation and regular outings including a boat cruise and picnic lunch in Annapolis Harbor and Chesapeake Bay, trips to the theatre, visits to the DC National Aquarium, Mount Vernon, and the National Cathedral, and many more trips that are of great interest to our participants.
