Empty Bowls

Empty Bowls

A happy participant hands her handmade bowl
to a volunteer.

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2008 Empty Bowls soup supper! With your support we raised more than $11,000 to feed the poor and homeless in Washington, DC.

We would like to thank Roberta Couver and the Clay Connection, and all of the local potters who donated their beautiful handmade bowls to the event.

We would also like to thank Fr. John Enzler, Barbara O'Brien and Joan Ward of Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament, as well as Fr. Creeden and Ray Watkins of St. Charles Borromeo Church for hosting this year's Empty Bowls events.

Many thanks to Allison Merten, our graphic designer, and to all of the volunteers who made the event such a success.
