Dining Room Volunteers
Individuals and groups are needed to serve food in our Dining Room for the Homeless located at 71 'O' Street, NW. Volunteers will spend time preparing and serving meals and interacting with our guests. The dining room is limited to 15 volunteers per meal to ensure that each person is well utilized. All volunteers must schedule a time to help in advance and review our volunteer dress code.

Provide-A-Meal (PAM) Volunteers
Provide-A-Meal (PAM) groups are scheduled to provide breakfast or lunch in the dining room on a regular basis, usually once a month. Groups typically come from various faith communities, corporations, and schools. PAM group volunteers arrive an hour to an hour and a half before the start of the meal to heat up prepared food or to prepare the food they bring. Some PAM groups leave after all of the food has been prepared, while others stay until the end of the meal to help serve. For those that wish to serve, groups may bring up to 8 volunteers. The hours for Provide-A-Meal groups vary from group to group, but typically are:

Breakfast PAM volunteers: 6:00am - 8:30am, everyday
Lunch PAM volunteers: 10:00am - 1:00pm, everyday
