Anna Cooper House
Anna Cooper House is a 50 unit SRO located near Logan Circle. There are single rooms, common social areas and kitchens. Case management services are provided which allow tenants to establish and maintain goals that contribute toward their independence. Tenants at Anna Cooper House are offered a variety of scheduled trips, community and social interaction, Adult Basic Education and Life Skills, workshops, and referrals for additional social services. In SOME's SROs, residents have been able to sustain years of recovery from drug and alcohol abuse, have enhanced their work skills to reenter the workforce, have been able to live independently despite severe mental illness, have reunited with family members and have been able to put their lives back together.
