Building Maintenance Service Technician Training Program

This training program has been developed to prepare trainees for a career that pays a living wage with benefits. Area apartment management companies, building maintenance contractors, commercial buildings, hotels, universities and hospitals are now hiring maintenance mechanics, maintenance technicians, electrician helpers, plumber helpers, carpenters and porters. Key components of the program include:

  • Intensive hands-on training five days a week with an average completion time of 21 weeks
  • Simulated work environment in a fully outfitted maintenance shop with residential and commercial equipment
  • Open Entry/Open Exit so training starts when the trainee is ready
  • Self-paced to match individual abilities
