Mary Claire House

SOME was proud to open Mary Claire House on September 1, 2006. The facility, adjacent to SOME's Jordan House Crisis Stabilization program, is providing safe, affordable, supported housing to persons who are homeless with severe and persistent mental illness as SOME helps them transition into more permanent housing. With support from the Department of Mental Health, SOME was able ot hire a live-in Peer Support Specialist, which helps provide a warm and therapeutic environment of community living for the 11 clients residing in the building. Mary Claire House has already seen success in transitioning 4 adults into safe, permanent housing.
