More than 200 families including 375 children currently live in SOME’s safe and stable affordable housing. By contributing to SOME’s annual campaign to support DC families, you are investing directly in the successes of families and children. Whether that is by ensuring nutritious meals, educational support, or safe homes, you are helping to break the cycle of poverty in our area and enabling families to thrive.

As part of our Beyond the Backpack campaign, we continue to collect backpacks to ensure every student begins the school year fully prepared to success. Your generosity can make all the difference.

We will not be collecting backpacks at our O St. location.
Please donate new backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies. To make the load lighter on our staff, please put together backpacks beforehand and do not donate supplies only!
These essential supplies will support over 330 children—from Pre-K through high school—living in SOME’s affordable housing programs.
